All owners are looking for great tenants. Those who have great credit scores, keep the house clean, have been working for a long time at secure high-income jobs, no criminal history, and no evictions. There are two problems with these types of people. Can you figure out what they are?
First one is obvious. Finding those people is hard. That means you will have a longer vacancy when it’s time to fill the unit. It means lost rent for the owners.
Another reason why this is potentially not as good as it initially looks is that those people tend to move out and buy houses. Why would you rent if you can buy? They may not stay as long as the owners want them to.
This is not to say deny those people. Of course, they will be accepted. Just know that it’ll take a bit longer to find those people, and they may not stay as tenants too long.
