My unique strength

My unique strength

We all have strengths and weaknesses. It’s the same with business. Every business have strengths and weaknesses. So what is the strength of me being your property manager? I believe it’s the fact that I can see the business from the owner’s perspective.

Regardless of how hard you try, it’s sometimes too easy to forget what it’s like to be on the other side of where you are. If you are a parent, it’s easy to forget what it’s like to be a child. If you are married and are the one who takes care of the house but doesn’t get to work, maybe it’s easy to forget what it’s like to go to work every day. Or the opposite can be true also. If you are the one who goes to work every day, it’s easy to forget what it’s really like to stay home and take care of the house.

This is true with the property management business. I hope that all property managers do think what’s best for the owners. I sure most of them do. But do they really know what it’s like to be an owner who hires a property manager? Well, I do because I hire different property managers for some of my own properties. By being a property weakness but also being an owner who hires a property manager, I’ll always have the actual perspective of what it’s like to be an owner.

Needless to say, that means I also know what it’s like to be a real estate investor (because I am.) While it’s possible that you can be a great property manager without ever owning a property, I believe that I can speak the same language and provide a better service by being on the same page as the owner.
